Hey Everyone! Just hopping in on the random Tuesday thing with
Stacy. Check her out and join in the fun.
Taxes: Well, I got the huge packet back from the accountant today. You might be thinking that it is kinda cuttin' it close, but I assure you, it was totally my fault. I always resolve to get my stuff into the accountant before "the last minute". But then reality hits and before I know it, I'm getting an email from him saying "get me your stuff!". Anyway, I've got several days now to get to the post office.....
Cats: I've got a spare cat in the basement at the moment. She's got to go though. She was living with my niece, but b-i-l said she had to go so I'm "holding" her until later today. I'd foster her but Hubby is extremely allergic, so that's not an option.
Drugs: Bath salts? Really? What will the kids (and probably adults too) come up with next? Have you heard of this? Google it. You'll be amazed. or maybe not.
Class: Looking forward to my Human Diseases class today. An OB/GYN friend of mine is giving a lecture on STDs and other reproductive diseases. He promises lots of pictures. Lots of pictures that will make the students think twice about multiple partners and other unsafe sex practices. I need to sit facing the students so I can see their reactions! Should be amusing. And the funny thing is that most of these kids are hoping to go to med school, or dental school, or nursing school. They will still be totally grossed out.
Lizards: I think I may have mentioned that I'm now an expert at giving injections to Mamba, our leopard gecko. Well, I'm happy to report that she is mucho better. She's still got a bit of a skin infection, but she's much improved. Now the only problem is that whenever I try to pick her up, she thinks she's gonna get a shot and she goes into a death roll (like an alligator) in my hand. Poor thing. I'll be glad when this round of antibiotics is over.
De-cluttering: Despite the fact that my hubby
begged me suggested that I not volunteer to do the charity yard sale at our house this year, I'm doing it. We raised $1000 for the dogs last year. But, yes, it is a lot of work. The thing is, the whole neighborhood does it at the same time, so we get lots of yard sale fanatics. Most of them don't appreciate that it's for charity and still try to talk me down to a quarter from a 50 cent book. But then some people give a donation even if they don't find something to buy.
K. Well, I need to get dressed. Get 2 short people dressed, fed, and packed up for school, go to the gym, shower, then get to class to see yucky pics. I hope you have a great Tuesday!
